There is less left for 'Venom: Let There be Carnage', the second installment of the film, to be released in Spain. And every time we know more details about its protagonists. Sheena Duggal, the visual effects manager, explained to Variety that she had to work remotely because of the coronavirus. In the talk, he related that to perform the movements of the evil Carnage he was inspired by the scorpions: "We had to come up with a different design and see how the tentacles moved for that ... The way a scorpion moves its tail behind its head and moving it forward in this menacing way, it made me think, 'Let's do it with Carnage.
Duggal also admitted that she was very aware of the opinions of fans on social networks: "I wanted to see what they expected of this character and what behavior and appearance were important to them. We wanted the fans to be very happy with this."
The 'Venom: LetThere Be Carnage' team had to tone down a sequence inspired by the comics. It consisted of Carnage murdering a character by sticking his tongue down their throat: "We had to tone that up a bit. He does it with a tentacle [in the comics], but I thought it would be fun for him to use his tongue to add that extra hideous element." added the head of VFX.
A film not suitable for all audiences
The film will present Carnage as Venom's worst enemy. In this second part, there will be some battles that, of course, will not leave anyone indifferent. Of course, although we go to see wars and fights everywhere, the film, according to Duggal "begins as a love story, a sweet love story."
The Andy Serkis-directed sequel stars Tom Hardy (Venom). The cast is completed by Woody Harrelson (Carnage), Naomie Harris as Shriek, and Michelle Williams (Anne Weying), among others. 'Venom: Let There be Carnage' can be seen in Spain from October 14.
