New Delhi: Today the stock market closed sharply. Today, where the Sensex closed at the level of 55958.98 points with a gain of about 403.19 points. At the same time, the Nifty closed at the level of 16624.60 points with a gain of 128.10 points. Apart from this, trading was done in a total of 3,298 companies on BSE today, out of which about 2,147 shares closed up and 1,028 shares closed down. At the same time, there was no difference in the share price of 123 companies. On the other hand, the rupee was strengthened by 2 paise against the dollar this evening to close at Rs 74.19.

Shares of Bajaj Finserv closed at Rs 16,461.70, up by Rs 1190. The stock of Adani Ports closed at Rs 695.40 with a gain of about Rs 4. Hindalco's stock closed at Rs 420.85, up by Rs 14. Shares of Tata Steel closed at Rs 1,404.65, up by Rs 46. Shares of Bajaj Finserv closed at Rs 6,980.10, up by Rs 228.
Nifty top losers
The stock of Britannia closed at Rs 3,812.20, down by about Rs 54. Nestle's stock closed at Rs 19,779.85, down by about Rs 241. HDFC shares closed at Rs 2,691.25, down by about Rs 31. Infosys shares closed at Rs 1,720.85, down by about Rs 18. Shares of Asian Paints closed at Rs 3,045.95, down by Rs 32.
