The production of Indiana Jones 5 continues shipped to England after the Harrison Ford incident during filming, and new photos from the set obtained by the Glasgow Times may have revealed the mysterious temporal setting of the story. As for the plot of Indiana Jones 5, in fact, at the moment practically nothing is known, even if the photos leaked from the set have allowed fans and the specialized press to start putting the pieces together.
In recent weeks we have been able to admire castles, tanks, and Nazis, all things already seen in previous films of the saga made by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, while other photos have suggested a possible use of the now famous 'rejuvenating' CGI used on Harrison Ford and anticipated the look of Indy's new companion, played by Toby Jones.
But the latest leak provides another very intriguing clue to the plot of Indiana Jones 5. As revealed by the Glasgow Times, in these hours the facades of the Scottish town's buildings have been modified by the film's set designers to resemble those of the ' 60, with for example a billboard dedicated to the famous Pan Am airline.
Above all, a particularly significant image shows a banner with the words "Welcome home Armstrong, Aldrin, Collins", suggesting that the scene in question would depict the organized parade for the return of the Apollo 11 astronauts after the historic mission to the Moon. The reference date would therefore be that of August 13, 1969, which would frame the story of Indiana Jones 5 at the end of the 1960s.
Among other things, the images seem to confirm the previous leaks on the Indiana Jones 5 plot, which had anticipated a story linked to the space race. What do you think about it? Tell us in the comments. We remember that Indiana Jones 5 will be released in theaters around the world from July 29, 2022.
