The Wheel of Time: Amazon Originals |
Amazon Prime Video launches its new great fantastic bet with 'The Wheel of Time', an ambitious adaptation of the best-selling saga written by Robert Jordan, which immerses the viewer in a dark universe of magic, prophecies, and monsters, with an international cast headed by Rosamund Pike ('Lost'). The series, which is already in its second season, focuses on a group of young people among whom is the person chosen to save a world marked by the cyclical nature of time.
'The Wheel of Time' is a great global platform for the cast of young promises who play the candidates for Dragon Reborn. Josha Stradowski (Rand al'Thor), Marcus Rutherford (Perrin Aybara), Madeleine Madden (Egwene Al'Vere), and Zoë Robins (Nynaeve al'Meara) are responsible for bringing to life this group of budding heroes who embark on the adventure of their lives with the guidance of Moiraine, the character played by Pike.
With them, we had the opportunity to chat about the series and what it means for them to participate in a large-scale production, in which Amazon has placed all its hopes. We asked them about their experience having Rosamund Pike as their "Mistress of the Dungeon", the message of struggle that the series launches to the new generations, and what it was like to work with Álvaro Morte, the actor from 'La casa de papel', who has a role in adaptation. In addition, they told us about the diversity in the series - a step up from other fantastic epics -, the fidelity of the adaptation, what we can expect from the second season, and who in real life would be a good candidate for Dragon Reborn. It is obvious how excited they are all about the series and the great opportunity it represents for them.
